Carsntiques shipping and handling policy

We, at Carsntiques, are committed to making each and every Ebay transaction a positive experience.  We work hard to describe each item carefully and add adequate pictures.  We strive to answer questions quickly and completely.  We then take special pride in packaging carefully and tightly within the container in order to minimize chances for damage during shipping.  Based on past experience, we do not encourage the use of USPS parcel post shipping, but do often leave it as an option as a cost saving, but at the buyer’s risk.  Buyers are responsible for adding insurance and we recommend such for fragile items.  Please note that when we list an item, we include a weight estimate so you can have an approximate cost of shipping prior to bidding.  But we would recommend that, after winning one of our auctions, you wait with payment until we package the item and then send an invoice.  We try to estimate the boxed weight accurately but sometimes the final weight will differ some, hopefully to your benefit.  Sometimes we find that another service will save money, such as using FedEx ground instead of USPS.  We reserve the right to make such a change to the shipping provider in these instances.  Ebay’s shipping calculators are not always accurate as well as we have seen where Ebay has greatly inflated the shipping in the listing for the weight we enter.  We do feel, however, that quality packaging is more important than saving a few pennies.  Thus, because of the cost of quality packaging, we reserve the right to add $1.00 to the shipping amount to cover the cost of tape, boxes, packing materials, and labels.  Check our feedback – we get great reviews on our pride in packaging.  Items sold to customers in Nebraska are subject to 7% sales tax.

Note:  If you have a problem with anything (product quality, packaging, etc.) please contact us and allow us to correct the problem.  We will most likely ask you to file a claim through Ebay and, if we did miss something (we are only human), we will most likely either have the item shipped back or offer a refund.  We do NOT knowingly list damaged or items that are not working without telling you about any defects.  We try to closely inspect all items and take pictures of any damage.  Occasionally, however, we do miss something and will absolutely address that in a reasonable manner.

Thanks for your interest in our auctions.  We value your business.  Bob & Dottie

Renault F1 – Briatore & Symonds resign

The Piquet accident at Singapore which probably wasn't an accident at all Oh, dear. But it was hard to get your head round the allegations being false, particularly as they were backed up by three-times world champion Piquet Snr. It’s one thing to indulge your offspring, but it’s hard to believe that Dad would back son unless he was convinced.

Vorsteiner offers aero package for Ferrari 599

Wed, 18 Apr 2012

The Ferrari 599 is on its way out; we saw its striking replacement, the F12 Berlinetta, at the Geneva motor show. But Los Angeles-based tuner Vorsteiner isn't quite ready to let go. To infuse the “old” grand tourer with new life, Vorsteiner created a new aero kit, wheel package and exhaust system to set it apart from your run-of-the-mill Prancing Horse.
