I recently purchased a large lot of New Old Stock auto parts from the estate of an auto parts store owner who closed the doors of the shop in the mid 80's. Along with this lot of parts was a large number of rebuilt starters and alternators. I am listing all the starters and alternators here on Ebay starting at $9.99 each with no reserve. These starters and alternators are rebuilt and have never been used or installed. Some still have the boxes, others had tattered boxes that were thrown out. Is this supercharged V8 destined for the Corvette ZR1?
Tue, 08 Oct 2013This is a big week for spy shots, and apparently a friend of a friend of a “friend” snapped this little ditty of what could be the motor of the next Z06, or ZR1. Corvette Online nabbed the shot of a supercharged LT1-looking V8 mill; they cite the injector cover shape and the throttle body. The site also noted the twin-rotor supercharger with an LSA/LS9-style pulley on the front.

Tue, 01 Sep 2009The Volvo C70 has had a facelift for 2010 and will launch at Frankfurt The most obvious change to the C70 is the nose, which has been redisigned and appears to take its styling cues from the Volvo S60 Concept we saw prior to Detroit. The V70 gets new front wings, a re-shaped bonnet, new swoopy lights and a new front bumper with a wider grill. It gives the V70 more road presence.

He has finally ruled out a rumoured M1 version of the 1-series and said the tii spec would be the most performance-oriented model, claiming the the twin-turbo 135i was quite fast enough (it does 0-62mph in 5.3sec, after all).The tii concept shown at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show points accurately to the approach BMW is developing: performance kits for the 1-series coupe and hatchback, an aero package, carbonfibre details, fatter wheels and tyres, sports seats and instruments.
