Hyundai i40 Tourer - starts at £18,395 Yes, it’s the long-awaited prices for the Hyundai 140 Estate – or the trendy ‘Hyundai i40 Tourer‘ which Hyundai prefers – which is to be the first i40 to hit UK showrooms, ahead of the i40 saloon which we won’t see until early next year. Not surprisingly, Hyundai has undercut both Ford’s Mondeo and Vauxhall’s Insignia with its entry-level i40 Tourer 1.6 GDi Blue Drive which comes in £500 less than the Ford and £1k less than the Vauxhall and offers the lowest BIK in its class. Stefan Pierer, the youthful-looking 51 year-old CEO of KTM, has revealed to CAR how he intends to turn his company into the Austrian equivalent of Lotus. The unveiling of the production version of the Audi-engined, carbon-monocoque X-Bow at the Geneva Motor Show on March 4 2008 is exactly one year on from the first showing of the prototype.

Mercedes SLS AMG – production begins

The Mercedes SLS AMG has gone in to production in Germany I don’t know why – as Mercedes hadn’t previously announced it – but we guessed that they’d already started to put the Mercedes SLS AMG in to production ready for the first customer cars to start hitting in the Spring. But apparently they’ve only just started. The SLS AMG is due to arrive in Germany at the end of March at a base price of €177,310 and is being produced at the Mercedes factory in Sindelfengen, Germany.
