Maybe, now more and more car makers and suppliers are starting to lose interest in BEVs (Battery Electric Vehicles), we can look properly to future prospects for an energy source for powering the world’s cars? Strangely for a car that invented what we know today as the options and accessories list, you can only choose the colour (white or blue) and whether to have a manual or automatic transmission. Every other options box is ticked, while extra chrome highlights, louvered rear windows and a faux rear filler cap are exclusive to this birthday edition.

With a dominant Lewis Hamilton on pole and Button just behind in his McLaren, will the 2012 Hungarian Grand Prix see McLaren dominate? There’s no question, certainly on the evidence of free practice and qualifying at the Hungaroring for the 2012 Hungarian Grand Prix, that McLaren has found the speed it’s lost recently. Hamilton was streets ahead of the rest and Button close behind as McLaren showed they probably have the fastest car on the grid this weekend.
