MSD Ignition Voltage Booster & Fuel Pump Booster
For Street, Track, Off Road, Marine & Custom Applications
Hi-Rev Racing's - "Black Box"

High output heavy duty and performance orientated specifically designed to increase voltage input to any MSD or CDI ignition making them operate at peak efficiency increasing the spark up to 50%. Traditional voltage in a vehicle with alternator is average 14.5V or without an alternator 10-12V which is lower than the maximum 16-18V most ignitions can operate at causing the spark not to be at 100% of it's full potential especially with high output coils. Also by installing this voltage booster on a fuel pump it will increase the output by up to 15% making the motor operate faster and at a constant RPM without any fluctuation. These are a must have for the hardcore racer looking to get the most out of a vehicle or great for most street vehicles to increase efficiency. Suitable for marine and aviation also! Custom designed to be overbuilt, extremely durable and waterproof to fit any demanding application on and off road or water

Capable of taking an input voltage range of 10-15VDC increasing the output to 16-18VDC  which is adjustable. The output is 100% constant and non fluctuating based on input range even when is fluctuates creating a steady power supply making it safer for sensitive electronics and the engine operates without fluctuation which is mandatory for bracket racers. Current load is 15A 100% full duty cycle in up to 110 degree fahrenheit so if installed in a hot application make sure their is adequate air flow or use a fan. Heavy duty waterproof aluminum housing with epoxy sealed electronics so moisture is not an issue. Input and output connections are with aviation style connectors so they can not come loose and specifically designed double pin redundancy with (+) and (-) on the input and outputs having 2 electrical contact pins to ensure 100% trouble free operationFor other less demanding applications I stock other models of ignition voltage boosters to suit a wide range of ignitions, fuel pumps or any other electronics that would benefit from a constant increased power supply. These are also great to install on halogen lighting increasing the light output

Tyre warning for drivers heading into Europe

Mon, 13 Jan 2014

BRITISH DRIVERS could face on the spot fines for using the wrong tyres when travelling in Europe this winter. Severe winter weather in many European countries means the normal summer tyres fitted to most UK cars will not offer enough grip for safe driving or braking in icy or snowy conditions. In Germany and some ski resorts, drivers are liable to on-the-spot fines if their car is not equipped with winter tyres or their car becomes stuck in slippery conditions due to the wrong tyres being fitted.

Concept Car of the Week: Ford GT90

Thu, 23 Aug 2012

The second edition of ‘Concept Car of the Week' features what was hailed as "the world's mightiest supercar": the Ford GT90. The GT90 was unveiled at the 1995 Detroit auto show and acted as the poster boy of the 'New Edge' design philosophy, with its large, flat planes, angles and triangular shapes it was a major change in design direction. This car, completed in just six months, was something of a successor to the GT40, using some of its design cues such as doors that cut into the roofline, but underneath many components were borrowed from the other cars such as the Jaguar XJ220.

Driven: Citroen DS4

Mon, 21 Nov 2011

Recomissioning the DS name looked like a risk to many outside Citroen’s headquarters, including us. And the new sub-brand’s opening salvo – the DS3 – didn’t exactly calm the worries of those of us who hold the original in high esteem. Where was the ingenuity?
