Hyundai shifts Santa Fe production to Kia plant to get more Sonatas

Mon, 23 Aug 2010

Hyundai Motor America is shifting production of its Santa Fe crossover to the Georgia plant of its corporate cousin, Kia Motors America, to free up production for more high-demand Hyundai Sonatas in Alabama. The Santa Fe is now built at Hyundai's Montgomery, Ala., plant, which also builds the Sonata sedan.

Lifeboat resuces two swamped cars

Thu, 14 Aug 2014

At least one of the vehicles which were wrecked by the submerging North Sea had been used to try to pull a boat out of the water, the RNLI said. A crew from Redcar, near Middlesbrough, responded to the first call-out at 3.20pm on Wednesday after coastguards received a number of 999 calls saying two people were on the roof of a vehicle on the town's beach as the waters came in.
