Audi RS7 at Paris Motor Show?

The Audi A7. There's speculation on a V10 Audi RS7 too.

We’ve been speculating on the Audi A7 and when it will appear for some time. We last reported on the A7 in January when we had a spy video taken in Norway of the A7 and we also got what seems like a fairly relibale source for when the Audi A7 will be officially revealed (Audi Norway) – the Moscow Motor Show in August.

To add to the A7 speculation we also have speculation on the hotter version of the A7 – the Audi S7. This we know will be a reality after Audi Design Director Stefan Sielaff revealed as much back in December (he also revealed the S8 and S1 – useful chap ) so we know the S7′s a given.

And now we have speculation from Autocar on something we really hadn’t considered yet – the Audi RS7.

Audi’s form is to bring out an RS version of any of their cars well after the main model has settled in to the marketplace. But according to Autocar Audi will be bringing along the RS7 to reveal at the same time as the A7. Autocar say this will be at Paris, but as we’ve already said we have Audi in Norway saying the A7 is bound for the Moscow show in August.

Where it will appear first apart, the claim is the RS7 will get a 580bhp V10 with a 7 speed dual clutch ‘box feeding the power to all four wheels. Which sounds very promising. But we’re really not convinced Audi would do an RS7 so soon. We’re also not convinced the A7 is destined for Paris.

But we’ll know soon enough.
