OK, here we have a unique and unusual set of license plates for your 1956 beauty !

                  4  :  4

This is a set of genuine 1956 Colorado plates from our salvage yard where we specialize in parts for your early Jeep, '78 - '79 Bronco, and all Ford cars & trucks from the late 50s & early 60s.

The first '4' indicates issue from El Paso County, Colorado, which includes Colorado Springs and the surrounding area.

They've got the usual signs of wear, as they are not new.  The bends and bumps are not too bad for something that was actually used on a farm vehicle in 1956 and sat around in storage for 60 years!

You may already know that Colorado residents are permitted to use vintage license plates that match the year of your vehicle under certain circumstances.  The vehicle needs to be more than 30 years old, and the plates must have an embossed date, not just a sticker.  The last photo in the listing shows the simple form required, and we believe it simply needs to be submitted to your local DMV office and there was no fee the last time we checked!  You cannot use them in a 'daily driver' scenario:  there are rules, but they are reasonable. The form is available on-line at
