2002 Audi A4 for sale. 121,xxx miles. Solid mechanically sound car. 4 door, 5 speed manual. 4 cylinder, pretty good gas mileage. Dual exhaust, moon roof, heat/cool, manual seats. Full synthetic oil used since purchased, with frequent oil changes. Radio and climate control head was replaced due to buttons rubbed off. Coin tray and drink holder replaced. Headlight switch and driver side window controls all replaced due to button icons rubbed off. Brand new tires all the way around. THE BAD: windshield cracked all the way across lower portion (does not hinder driver view), driver seat has tears in it (can be re-upholstered for less than $200; or seat cover), no catalytic converter (not required in all states; $50 at O'Reileys), and finally, the parking brake does not work (cable issue?). I just keep it in gear when parked, and use parking blocks when needed (which will go with vehicle). Have headlight washer caps (need to be color matched). Feel free to ask any questions. Canada urged to adopt European car safety standards
Mon, 23 Dec 2013CANADA has been urged to adopt European standards for new vehicle safety by the president of Mercedes-Benz Canada. Tim Reuss told reporters that if EU rules, which apply to all cars built by European industrial powerhouses like Mercedes and the Volkswagen Group, were in place Canada would already have new, more efficient, safer cars. At present Mercedes cannot import the A-Class because of the expense associated with modifying it to conform to Canadian safety requirements, and Mr Reuss argues that the current approach lacks common sense.

Sat, 28 Dec 2013Audi takes a dig at BMW, Lexus & Mercedes in new video commercials We’ve had a little spat between Jaguar and Mercedes recently over Mercedes’ Chicken Magic Body Control, with Jaguar’s Big Cat eating Mercedes MBC Chicken and now, ahead of what seems a likely airing in the Super Bowl advert slots, Audi is taking a pop at everyone. Audi are bigging-up the Audi A3 saloon ahead of its arrival in the USA with a quartet of commercials demonstrating the regret buyers have if they’ve already opted for a Mercedes, BMW or Lexus. We get a video on ‘Luxury Car Abstinence’, one of ‘Shame’, one on Buyer’s Remorse’ and one on ‘Lessons’ with the theme being that you should save yourself for the best – the Audi A3 Saloon – and not bother with the also-rans.
